Free Kawaii Coloring Pages to Print

If you searched this, you want pages tonight, not a lecture. So let me get you sorted fast, then I will share a few small things that make printing at home turn out nicely.

Grab the free pages first

I draw a free sampler set you can print at home: cute kawaii desserts, all hand drawn, with the bold outlines that make markers behave. Donuts with little faces, mochi, macarons, a pavlova or two.

It is an instant PDF. Print as many copies as you like, color them again with different palettes, no limit. Pop in your email and the pages land in your inbox.

There is also a free sushi-themed set if cozy little nigiri and bubble tea are more your thing.

What makes a good kawaii page (so you know what you are getting)

Not all cute pages are created equal. Here is what I look for, and what I draw into mine.

  • Bold outlines. Thick 4 to 6px lines hold your color in place and forgive a shaky hand. Thin lines let marker ink wander and the whole page looks muddy.
  • Big, friendly shapes. Rounded edges, chubby cheeks, big eyes. Easier to color, gentler to look at.
  • Breathing room. A page that is wall-to-wall tiny detail is exhausting. The best ones mix one clear main character with a few little props around it.
  • Single sided printing. So your markers do not bleed onto the design on the back.

If a page has those four things, it will be a joy to color whether you are six or thirty-six.

How to print them so they look right at home

A few small settings save you a lot of "why does this look weird" moments.

1. Print at 100%, not "fit to page"

In your print dialog, set scaling to 100% or Actual Size. "Fit to page" quietly shrinks the design and adds awkward margins.

2. Pick the right paper

Plain printer paper is totally fine for colored pencils and crayons. If you are using markers, reach for slightly heavier paper, around 90 to 120 gsm, often sold as "presentation" or "cardstock-lite." It drinks less and bleeds less.

3. US Letter or A4, both work

My pages are sized so they sit nicely on US Letter and fit A4 too. Just choose your paper size in the print menu and you are set.

4. Print single sided

Keep the back of each page blank. Then if a marker bleeds, it bleeds onto nothing.

For the full walkthrough, I wrote a separate guide on how to print coloring pages at home.

Make it a small evening ritual

Here is the quiet little secret of printable pages. The five minutes of printing and choosing colors is part of the calm. You are already stepping away from the screen.

Print two or three pages, line up your markers, put on something gentle, and color one. Twenty minutes later you will feel the difference. Coloring is one of those simple things that takes you outside your own head for a while, a bit like a slow walk.

Want more than a sampler?

The free pages are a real taste of how I draw, not a watered-down version. If you color through them and want the full set, World Desserts: A Kawaii Journey has 30-plus of these scenes, printed single sided on the good paper so you can dig in.

But honestly, start free. Print a page, grab a marker, see if it makes you smile. That is the whole test. Not sure what to color first? Here are cute things to color when you're stressed, and the best markers for coloring books to color them with.
